Jancosko and Robinson wheelchair

Whether you use a power or manual wheelchair, our Wheelchair and Seating Mobility training provides you with better use of your wheelchair. We work with patients new to wheelchair use, as well as those who have used wheelchairs over the years.

Services

Once you are discharged from inpatient care, you can set up your wheelchair evaluation.

Our services in this process will include:

  • Physical therapy seating and mobility evaluation
  • Fitting your wheelchair properly
  • Equipment delivery to your home

The need to use a wheelchair can result from neurological or physical conditions, or another illness that affects your mobility. Our program is designed to help you gain mobility with your wheelchair to achieve your best level of independence.

Referral Process

A face-to-face meeting with a physician and the physician’s order for a “Physical Therapy Seating and Mobility Evaluation” (dated within 30 days prior to the clinic visit)
is required.

Physician referrals may be sent to RehabReferrals@umm.edu.
