Clinical expertise and compassionate care are the hallmarks of our oncology professional and support staff. Prioritizing patient comfort, they provide infusion of chemotherapy, blood products, intravenous fluids, antibiotics, targeted therapies and growth factors. An introductory class for patients and families contributes to peace-of-mind. Nurses are available by phone to address any questions and concerns patients or their families may have after each treatment.
A Chemotherapy class is offered three times a week to help patients prepare for this treatment phase. They receive educational packets and learn valuable information about managing side effects. They also learn that the nurses and physicians are just a phone call away when the need arises.
The center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Please call 410-427-5585 for more information about University of Maryland Medical Center Serpick Infusion and Multidisciplinary Center.
