Diabetes physician Kashif Munir chats with a patient

It takes a team to manage a condition as complex as diabetes.

That's why at the University of Maryland Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology (UMCDE) we take collaborative approach, pairing high quality medical care with comprehensive education.

Our program is carefully designed to help adults and children with diabetes — Type 1, Type 2 and other forms, including gestational — take charge of their own health. Our team also sees patients with a range of other endocrine conditions.

Diabetes Education

An integral part of living well with diabetes is everyday self-management, and education is the key to that. Because the disease changes over the course of a lifetime and new technologies to help manage it are constantly emerging, diabetes education is an ongoing process.

Our services include:

  • Onsite A1c testing with results during visit
