Due to COVID 19 the Mama Baby Bus has limited its services to appointment-only. Please call 301-437-5788, M-F from 9-4 PM to schedule an appointment.

All patient will be asked pre-screening questions prior to receiving an appointment. Patients must wear a mask to the appointment and be willing to have their temperature checked prior to entering the facility.

Our apologies but patients are not allowed to bring any children or visitor with them to the appointments.

Our mobile health unit is provided through a partnership with the March of Dimes and UM Capital and is specifically designed to help uninsured and under-insured women throughout Prince George's County receive quality health care for themselves and their babies. We see women of childbearing age, pregnant women, and babies aged 0 to 24 months.

The unit is equipped with 2 private exam rooms and staffed by an experienced team of certified nurse midwives, family medicine physicians and residents* and medical assistants. The Mama and Baby Mobile Health Unit travels throughout the county to deliver a range of health services for women and babies:

  • Well-woman exams and education
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Pregnancy care education
  • Birth control consultation
  • Infant care and well child visits
  • Maternal and child health education
  • Care coordination and social support services
  • Now providing services to Ward 7 and Ward 8 patients in Washington, D.C.

All services are provided free of charge and no appointment is needed, although you can make an appointment if you choose.

*As part of the UM Capital Region Health Residency Program, our physicians and residents are trained to provide obstetric services as well as family medicine.
