Mama and Baby Mobile Health Unit

The Mama and Baby Mobile Health Unit is provided through a partnership between UM Capital Region Health and the March of Dimes.
This mobile health unit helps uninsured and under-insured women who are pregnant or of childbearing age receive quality healthcare. All services are provided free of charge.
The unit is equipped with two private exam rooms and is staffed by an experienced team of certified nurse midwives (CNMs).
The Mama and Baby Mobile Health Unit travels to UM Capital service areas throughout Prince George's County and Wards 7 and 8 in Washington, D.C., to deliver a range of health services for women and babies:
- Wellness exams and education
- Pregnancy testing
- Pregnancy care education
- Birth control consultation
- Infant care and well child visits
- Maternal and child health education
- Care coordination and social support services
Due to COVID-19, the Mama and Baby Mobile Health Unit has limited its services to appointment-only.
All patients will be asked pre-screening questions prior to receiving an appointment.
Patients must wear a mask to the appointment and be willing to have their temperature checked prior to entering the facility.
Patients are not allowed to bring any visitors or children, other than those being seen, to the appointment.
