Doctor and Patient in Primary Care Setting

Whether you need a routine checkup, treatment for a cold, care for a sick child or help managing a chronic illness like diabetes or high blood pressure, your primary care provider helps you keep track of your health.

As part of our primary care service line, UM Capital Region Health Medical Group has teams in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. Both teams treat the entire person and are trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of health issues.

Our primary care services also include transitional care for patients seen in the emergency room who need follow-up for orthopedics, general surgery and trauma care.

Family Medicine

Family medicine providers care for the entire family, including newborns and children, providing continuity of care throughout your lifetime. With family medicine, you can have a single provider for every member of your family, regardless of age.

Internal Medicine

Internal medicine providers, called Internists, are trained in all aspects of adult health. Because internists specialize in adult health, they are experienced in diagnosing and treating age-related diseases that affect adults and those conditions that result from long term effects of lifestyle choices.

Women's Health and Specialty Services

In addition to primary care, the trained specialists at UM Capital Region Health Medical Group provide health care to women of all ages and for all types of conditions. We offer the full range of pregnancy care, including high-risk pregnancy care, and routine gynecologic and breast cancer screenings.
