The Mama and Baby Mobile Health Unit provides quality health care to uninsured and under-insured women who are pregnant or of childbearing age.

All services are provided free of charge.

The unit is equipped with two private exam rooms and is staffed by an experienced team of certified nurse midwives (CNMs).

The Mama and Baby Mobile Health Unit travels to UM Capital service areas throughout Prince George's County and Wards 7 and 8 in Washington, D.C., to deliver a range of health services for women and babies:

  • Wellness exams and education
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Pregnancy care education
  • Birth control consultation
  • Infant care and well child visits
  • Maternal and child health education
  • Care coordination and social support services

The Mama and Baby Mobile Health Unit is provided through a partnership between UM Capital Region Health and the March of Dimes.

The Mama and Baby Mobile Health Unit is available to participate in community events.
