University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center offers a full service Emergency Department, providing comprehensive care close to home, 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week.
Our Emergency Department is staffed with board-certified doctors, nurses and technicians who have received advanced training in emergency care. Also, our Emergency Department maintains a close affiliation with local EMS. UM Capital Region Medical Center Emergency Department is the second busiest trauma center in the state of Maryland.
Our emergency team can diagnose and treat heart attacks and strokes quickly when every second count. We work closely with emergency responders to make sure our specialized teams are ready to start care the moment you arrive.
