The emergency department at University of Maryland Bowie Health Center is a standalone facility conveniently located in Bowie, Maryland. We provide 24/7, year-round care to all patients for serious and life-threatening conditions.

We work in conjunction with UM Capital Region Medical Center in Largo, arranging transfers to their facility if an inpatient admission or a higher level of care is needed.

What to Expect at the ER: Our priority is to treat each person in our emergency rooms as fully, safely and quickly as possible. We see patients based on how serious their conditions are. Patients are not seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Learn more about what to expect at the ER.
