Cardiovascular Medicine: University of Maryland Medical Center

Rich is a proud New Jersey native and Yankees fan. He attended Drexel University as part of their 7 year BS-MD program where he graduated Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital in NYC before coming to Maryland for Cardiology fellowship. He decided to stay on for EP fellowship for the strong mentorship and approachable learning environment. He is currently researching the role of left atrial epicardial adipose tissue in atrial fibrillation.  When he is not working, he can be found exploring various eateries with his fiancée, learning guitar and, most importantly, cheering on the Yankees.

He decided to stay here for EP fellowship due to the complex and diverse case exposure and the collegial lab atmosphere. His current research interests involve left atrial electroanatomic mapping and AF ablation outcomes. Outside of the hospital he can be found trying out new restaurants, traveling to different locales and spending time with his family.
