At the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center, we know that becoming a parent can be as overwhelming as it is exciting. We are here with the experts and support you need to prepare for your growing family.

Our full calendar of classes can help you prepare for a healthy pregnancy, labor and delivery, homecoming and new parenthood.

PLEASE NOTE: For your continued safety, we are hosting virtual classes only until further notice, though we are planning to begin hosting in-person classes as of March 15, 2021. Class descriptions are provided below....Thank you for your understanding.

After baby is born, our support groups can answer your questions and provide community with other parents.

Though it's never too early to prepare for your new baby, we recommend that you begin your classes between weeks 24-35 of pregnancy. If you are still in the planning stage, browse our resources covering what you need to know about having a baby.

All classes take place at The Barbara L. Posner Wellness & Support Center on the UM St. Joseph Medical Center campus in Towson.
