Birthing Education and Support
Angie Wicks, nurse manager at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton's Birthing Unit, discusses the importance of safe infant sleep practices, as well as the HALO SleepSack program offered to new families who deliver at the Birthing Center.
The Birthing Center offers parent education classes, free of charge, at regular intervals throughout the year.

Course Topics:
Breastfeeding Class
Expectant mothers are offered information about the benefits of breastfeeding for their babies and themselves, as well as tips and techniques for successful breastfeeding.
Labor and Delivery
During this course offered throughout the year, expectant parents are provided with an overview of topics, including maternal reproductive health; signs, symptoms and stages of labor; pain management during labor; techniques for a successful birthing experience; cesarean delivery; and recovery after childbirth.
New Mom, New Baby: Safety and CPR
Provides new parents with information, including newborn safety, new mom safety and general safety.
Breastfeeding Support
Certified lactation consultants offer expectant and new mothers information about the benefits of breastfeeding for mother and baby along with tips and techniques for successful breastfeeding.
