Birthing Education and Support
The Birthing Center offers parent education classes, free of charge, at regular intervals throughout the year.
To register for any of the available classes, call 410-822-1000, ext. 5200, and leave a detailed message of the classes, day and time you want to attend. One of our team members will reach out to you with login credentials as the date of the virtual event nears.
Virtual Course Topics:
Expectant mothers are offered information about the benefits of breastfeeding for their babies and themselves, as well as tips and techniques for successful breastfeeding.
Labor and Delivery
During this course offered throughout the year, expectant parents are provided with an overview of topics, including maternal reproductive health; signs, symptoms and stages of labor; pain management during labor; techniques for a successful birthing experience; cesarean delivery; and recovery after childbirth.
New Mom, New Baby: Safety and CPR
Provides new parents with information, including newborn safety, new mom safety and general safety.
Certified lactation consultants offer expectant and new mothers information about the benefits of breastfeeding for mother and baby along with tips and techniques for successful breastfeeding.
