Birthing Education and Support
The Birthing Center offers parent education classes, free of charge, at regular intervals throughout the year. All classes take place at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton.

Big Brother, Big Sister: Preparing Your Child for the Arrival of a New Baby
Designed for children ages 3-8. Held monthly at the Nick Rajacich Health Education Center at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton, the class includes a tour of the Birthing Center and an interactive story time or video.
Expectant mothers are offered information about the benefits of breastfeeding for their babies and themselves, and tips and techniques for successful breastfeeding. Classes are 4.5 hours in length and are offered six Saturdays annually.

Breastfeeding Support Group
Led by certified lactation consultants who offer expectant and new mothers information about the benefits of breastfeeding for mother and baby, and tips and techniques for successful breastfeeding.
Labor and Delivery
During this one-day course, expectant parents are provided with an overview of topics including maternal reproductive health, signs, symptoms and stages of labor, pain management during labor, techniques for a successful birthing experience, cesarean delivery and recovery after childbirth.
New Mom, New Baby: Safety and CPR
Provides new parents with information including newborn safety, new mom safety and general safety.
