Collegiate Student Nurse Positions

In our Collegiate Student Nurse Program, student nurses continue shaping the foundation of their careers in a supportive, collaborative environment through actual patient care duties under experienced nurses. Collegiate positions are posted within our job listings.

  • Candidates must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program with completion of one clinic course in acute care setting. Successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing course or MEIMMS certification is required.

UM SRH Nurse Support Program

Annual scholarships for part- and full-time team members for the pursuit of RN, RN to BSN, BSN to MSN, NP, DNP and PhD degrees (amounts vary annually and are not guaranteed).

For Chesapeake College Students Enrolled in ADN

This scholarship and loan program is designated for students enrolled in the Chesapeake College associate degree nursing (ADN) Program and may assist with tuition, books and fee costs exclusively for this program. Procedures and criteria are presented in the Scholarship Requirement document. Learn more about this scholarship program.

Nursing Student Clinical Placement 

These instructions are for:

  • Advanced practice nursing (APN)
  • Clinical groups
  • Practicum, transition and capstone students (undergraduate or entry-level MSN)
  • Clinical nursing instructors

All students must read the System requirements and are expected to adhere to these standards.

Onboarding Materials

Please complete (or have students complete) all clinical paperwork below. All paperwork must be completed and approved prior to the start date of the clinical experience.

Portfolio Training

Portfolio training will be set up by your instructor if you are part of a large clinical group. If you are an instructor, or individual college student completing a practicum and need EPIC access, please contact Amanda Alto at aalto@umm.edu to set up a training session.

Badging

  • Once paperwork is approved, badges may be picked up from the HR department at Easton. The badge MUST be returned once your clinical rotation is completed. 
  • The HR department, located in the front lobby, is available Monday - Friday, from 8 am - 5 pm.
