Welcome to the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH). This site serves as the central resource for all levels of nursing students who are utilizing UM UCH for school-related clinical experiences.
UM UCH Opportunities
- Academy of Clinical Essentials (ACE)
- Practicum to Practice (P3) – UMMS offers nursing students a 1:1 senior practicum placement if they interview for and accept their first job as a clinical nurse on the practicum unit prior to the start of the practicum.

All students must read the UM UCH and System requirements and are expected to adhere to these standards.
- Comply with the UCH Parking Policy.
Forms
Please complete (or have your students complete) the following forms and submit to UMUCHStudents@umm.edu. Paperwork must be completed and approved prior to the start date of the clinical experience.
- All students should complete the Universal Onboarding training; contact school for access.
- EPIC Access request forms – Must be completed for each clinical experience.

Badging
Once paperwork is approved, badges may be picked up from the Education department at UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. The badge MUST be returned once your clinical rotation is completed.
The Education department is available Monday – Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm.
Parking Information
Get directions to the UM Upper Chesapeake Health campuses.
UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center Aberdeen (UM UCMC Aberdeen)
- Students are permitted to park in lots designated for team members.
- Vehicle will be registered with the Education Department. Each student will receive a parking permit to display if parking on site.
UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center Bel Air (UM UCMC Bel Air)
- Students are permitted to park in Lot M or Westgate.
- Vehicle will be registered with the Education Department. Each student will receive a parking permit to display if parking on site.
