Morris M. Shochet, MD

Dr. Shochet is chair of Infectious Disease at University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center (UM BWMC). He treats general infectious diseases including, but not limited to, HIV, acute Lyme disease, and latent tuberculosis. He and his staff take their time with patients during each office visit, carefully and compassionately explaining their condition and the anticipated course of treatment.

Dr. Shochet is also chair of UM BWMC’s Antibiotic Stewardship Committee. He was the recipient of the 2008 UM BWMC Physician Excellence Award. He has been recognized as a “Top Doctor” in the specialty of infectious disease by Baltimore magazine.
