Critical Care & Trauma Education
Our Services
The University of Maryland R A Cowley Shock Trauma Center's Critical Care and Education team offers courses to train caretakers at all levels, from support staff to nursing and advanced practice providers, as well as physicians and the general public. Courses can range from a single-day training for individual providers to multi-week programs. Our observer program gives participants an in-depth understanding of the many areas of trauma, trauma systems and critical care.
Our Simulation Center allows us to make these scenarios feel as real as possible. Except for the patient, everything else in the Simulation Center training – from the gas lines to the IV bags – is the real deal.
If you are interested in supporting our programs, please make a donation to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center via the Center for Critical Care and Trauma Education.
