Prostate Care
The Maryland Prostate Center was founded in 1992 as a center of excellence for the treatment of prostate disease. Board certified urologists at the Maryland Prostate Center (MPC) offer state-of-the-art consultations for men suffering from benign prostatic hyperplasia (prostate enlargement), prostate cancer and prostatitis.
Patients at MPC receive information and advice about their prostate disease process, and when necessary, diagnostic testing and treatment for prostate disease.
We offer the most advanced treatment available for non-cancerous prostate disease and for prostate cancer, including:
- Minimally invasive treatments for prostate enlargement
- Close monitoring of any abnormal prostate condition to assure early detection
- Robotic-assisted, laparoscopic and laser-assisted surgery
- Access to innovative prostate cancer treatment, including radioactive seeding of prostate tumors and new drugs for treatment of advanced prostate cancer
The Maryland Prostate Center is part of the University of Maryland School of Medicine and is staffed by urologists on the medical school faculty.
