The Imaging Department at University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus performs a wide range of diagnostic procedures using a state-of-the-art picture archiving and communications system (PACS) that digitally stores the images produced.

Most imaging procedures can be scheduled—or even performed—on the same day your doctor requests them. For most studies, a formal report will be available the same day that the exam is completed. Images and reports can be viewed by a physician connected to the PACS network, giving your doctor quick and convenient access to your diagnostic images.


Imaging services are provided by Diagnostic Imaging Specialists, P.A. (DISPA), the University of Maryland Medical System's professional radiologist group. All DISPA radiologists are board certified and specialize in all areas of radiology, including:

  • Neuroradiology
  • Chest (thoracic) radiology
  • Abdomen
  • Musculoskeletal
  • Pediatric radiology
  • Nuclear medicine

    Monday – Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Mammography Services
    Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
