University of Maryland Urgent Care offers immediate walk-in care for many non-emergency illnesses and minor injuries. We see adults and children over 12 months of age at any of our urgent care center locations throughout Maryland.

What Urgent Care Can Do for You

Our urgent care centers provide the following testing and services:

Illness and Injury

  • Allergies
  • Asthma
  • Broken bones/fractures – see all our orthopedic and sports-related injury care
  • Bites, bumps and bruises
  • Burns
  • Colds and cough
  • Earaches and ear infections
  • Eye injuries/infections
  • Fever
  • Flu
  • Headaches
  • Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea
  • Rashes
  • Sinus infections
  • Skin infections
  • Sore throats and runny nose
  • Stitches, cuts and lacerations
  • Sprains/strains
  • Urinary tract infection (UTI)
  • Yeast infection
If you have life-, limb- or vision-threatening injuries or conditions, visit the emergency room.

Physicals, Screenings and Prevention

Testing

Adults and children over 12 months of age can get a COVID-19 test at any of our urgent care locations. Learn about our available COVID testing

We also offer a PCR test to detect RSV. It's available through our lab partner Acutis. Anyone age 12 months of age and older can be tested for this virus.

The following additional testing is available at all of our urgent care centers:  

  • Flu
  • Strep throat
  • Urine testing for infections and drug screens
  • Sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
  • Pregnancy
  • Blood sugar
  • Mononucleosis
  • Monkeypox

X-rays

All of our centers have digital x-ray equipment. Check our urgent care locations to see if X-rays are available on the day you plan to visit, or call ahead. 

Bloodwork

Our urgent care centers have an on-site laboratory for rapid testing. We can send additional testing out to a reference laboratory when needed.

Testing Not Performed at Urgent Care

UM Urgent Care does not perform ultrasounds, MRIs or CT scans. Contact your doctor’s office for help finding a testing location for those needs.
