About Me
As an internist and pediatrician, Dr. Millstein cares for both adults and children. She is a pediatric hospitalist, which means she sees children and adolescents when they are staying in the hospital. Dr. Millstein also cares for adult patients in the hospital, as well as in outpatient settings. She is committed to helping all her patients feel their best and giving them the tools and support they need to continue their healing outside of the hospital or exam room.
Since joining the University of Maryland, Dr. Millstein has received the Ambulatory Medicine Teacher of the Year Award twice by the Department of Medicine. She was also a co-investigator in a national grant awarded by the Picker Foundation and was awarded campus grants to lead an interprofessional team on education in Advance Care Planning.
Dr. Millstein’s current research interests include resident education, transitions of care and quality improvement in primary care.
