Inside UM Capital Region’s Center for Advanced Medicine in our cancer center provides proven, comprehensive care for common and rare cancers. Learn more about the types of cancers we treat.

We bring together a diverse team of specialists in one place, including radiation oncologists, cancer surgeons and medical oncologists. 

Services

  • Medical management of malignancies, cancer and hematologic disorders with:
    • Chemotherapy/Targeted Chemotherapy
    • Immunotherapy
  • Infusions to treat iron deficiencies and anemia
  • Infusions to treat Crohn’s disease, Ulcerative colitis and psoriatic and rheumatoid arthritis and other biologic therapies
  • Treatment for deficiencies related to the immune system and or nervous system
  • Osteoporosis treatment
  • Injections for intramuscular and subcutaneous administration

  • Genetic testing

Directions and Parking

Parking: Parking is available across from the Center for Advanced Medicine building, and validation can be provided by the hospital. Shuttle bus is available to transport to building. Take caution that you will have to cross the two-way street.

Patient Drop-Off: Patients may be dropped off at the Center for Advanced Medicine’s main entrance at 9333 Healthcare Way.

Directions from the Metro: Take the Blue or Silver line to the Largo Town Center Metro Station. Exit the station, turn right onto Harry S. Truman Drive North and walk about 500 feet. The Cancer Center at UM Capital Region Health is located on the right.

Mobility Assistance

If you need mobility assistance, we're here to help. After exiting the elevators in the tunnel area, please use the red emergency phone located on the wall. Please wait by the bench, and one of our hospital staff will assist you promptly after you've made contact.

Greeters are available to provide wheelchair assistance to patients coming into the Center for Advanced Medicine through the main doors adjacent to the second-floor lobby.
