ER at UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center Aberdeen

The Emergency Room at UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center Aberdeen is open 24/7 to treat conditions that need immediate care.

It is one of two ERs that make up the UM Upper Chesapeake Health Emergency Department.

UM UCMC Aberdeen: 

• Is the designated treatment center for sexual assault in Harford County.
• Is designated as acute-stroke ready by the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS) and are able to evaluate, stabilize and treat individuals with stroke symptoms. 
• Is able to treat all ages (Pediatric patients who need a higher level of care may be transferred to UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center Bel Air or another facility that can better meet their needs.)

What to Expect at the ER: Our priority is to treat each person in our emergency rooms as fully, safely and quickly as possible. We see patients based on how serious their conditions are. Patients are not seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Learn more about what to expect at the ER.
