COVID Vaccination Requirements for New Hires
Starting September 1, 2021, the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) expects all newly hired team members to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Newly hired individuals must provide valid proof of COVID-19 vaccination, if previously vaccinated. Those who are unvaccinated at the time of hire must be vaccinated or receive at least their first dose during their pre-placement health screening process or prior to their start date, or submit the appropriate exemption form and receive approval before their start date. New team members with an approved exemption will be required to participate in weekly testing. If you have questions, please contact the HR Service Center.
