Dr. Shahab Toursavadkohi was named a "Top Doctor" in the specialty of Vascular Surgery by Baltimore magazine in 2020.
Dr. Toursavadkohi is an assistant professor of surgery for the University of Maryland Heart and Vascular Center and the director of quality at the University of Maryland Center for Aortic Disease.
He received his medical degree Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Health Services. He completed three residencies, the first at Henry Ford Hospital in General Surgery; the second at Mellat Medical Complex in General Surgery; and the third at Newark Beth Medical Center in OB/GYN. Dr. Toursavadkohi came to the University of Maryland Medical System for his fellowship, focusing on vascular surgery.
His interests include aortic aneurysms, aortic disease, aortic dissection, cardiac surgery, carotid surgery, endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, endovascular thoracic aneurysm repair, open abdominal surgery, open thoracic surgery, percutaneous abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, peripheral arterial disease treatment, peripheral artery disease, redo vascular surgery, and thoracoabdominal aneurysm repair.
