About Me
Dr. Meredith has been named a "Top Doctor" in the specialty of Orthopedic Surgery/Sports Medicine by Baltimore magazine 2021.
Dr. Meredith is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine as well as a sports medicine physician at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He is a team physician for the University of Maryland Terrapins and UMBC Retrievers.
Dr. Meredith's clinical focus is on care to the hip, knee, and shoulder. He has a specific clinical focus in hip arthroscopy for hip labral tears, femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) syndrome, and micro-instability. He specializes in the latest arthroscopic techniques for joint repair and reconstruction; including ligament repair and reconstruction, cartilage transplantation, tendon repair, osteotomies, and joint replacement. Dr. Meredith also has particular expertise in quadricep tendon autograft anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. He also performs partial and total knee replacements and total shoulder replacements.
Dr. Meredith's research is focused on clinical outcomes and improving results for hip, knee, and shoulder patients. He has published many scientific articles and presented research at numerous scientific conferences.
Dr. Meredith is part of the Emerging Leaders Program in the American Orthopaedic Association and volunteers as a committee member for the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
Dr. Meredith completed his undergraduate degree (B.S.) at the University of Virginia before obtaining his medical degree (M.D.) from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center, and an orthopaedic sports medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he assisted in taking care of the University of Pittsburgh Panthers football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Pittsburgh Penguins.
