About Me
Dr. Hong has more than 30 years of experience in the medical field. He specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases in adult medicine. He has special interests in general internal medicine, preventive care, primary care and clinical informatics.
Dr. Hong joined the faculty of University of Maryland School of Medicine's Department of Medicine in 1992. He has been involved in medical education throughout this career. He currently serves as associate chair for clinical affairs in the Department of Medicine.
Dr. Hong graduated from University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut. He completed his residency in the University of Illinois' Primary Care Internal Medicine Program, serving as chief medical resident. He received a bachelor's degree in molecular biophysics and biochemistry from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
Dr. Hong is a past Baltimore magazine "Top Doctor" in the specialty of internal medicine.
