An attending physician in the Pediatric Emergency Department at the University of Maryland Children's Hospital, his clinical interests include recognizing and treating child abuse and neglect. His other areas of expertise include human trafficking, physician wellness and medical education.
Dr. Closson is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He is also the medical director of the University of Maryland Medical Center's Sexual Abuse & Rape Assessment team. He has been recognized multiple times as a "Top Doctor" in the specialty of Pediatric Emergency Medicine by the Baltimore magazine.
