Awards and Recognition
Time and again we are recognized for providing outstanding health care to children.
Top 50 Children’s Hospital
The Children’s Heart Program is once again ranked among the nation’s top 50 pediatric cardiology and heart surgery centers, according to the 2019-2020 edition of the U.S. News & World Report Best Children’s Hospitals. There are nearly 200 qualified pediatric centers in the country.
For the third consecutive time UMMC nursing has achieved a four-year Magnet® designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Magnet® is the gold standard in nursing, as only 8 percent of hospitals in the country have earned this recognition. Our pediatric nurses greatly contribute to this nursing success.
