Dr. Dhruva has special interests in sports cardiology and medical technologies. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and trained in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Dhruva chairs the Department of Medicine and Multi-Disciplinary Evaluation Committee at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health. He also serves on University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health's Performance Improvement and Medical Executive committees. He has been named a "Top Doctor" in the specialty of cardiology (non-interventional) on multiple occasions by Baltimore magazine.
Dr. Dhruva attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency and fellowship training at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey, where he served as chief resident in internal medicine and then academic chief fellow in cardiology.
