About Me

Dr. Dhruva has special interests in sports cardiology and medical technologies. 

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Dhruva chairs the Department of Medicine and Multi-Disciplinary Evaluation Committee at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health. He also serves on University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health's Performance Improvement and Medical Executive committees. He has been named a "Top Doctor" in the specialty of cardiology (non-interventional) on multiple occasions by Baltimore magazine.

Dr. Dhruva attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency and fellowship training at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey, where he served as chief resident in internal medicine and then academic chief fellow in cardiology.

  • This was a doctor who was seeing me on a very short notice based on the results of my blood work . He did what he was supposed to do, but he didn't know my history because he wasn't my regular doctor . He did what I needed him to do.

Showed concern regarding the information I had been provided by my general practitioner for making the appointment. Reviewed reasons that could have caused concern. He explained that everything was pointing to me being healthy. Discussed my last visit there,as well. It was great to see him explain the test and show so much concern.
