Dr. Nandi is a hip and knee replacement surgeon. He is committed to providing compassionate care of the highest quality. He specializes in performing complex revision procedures.
Dr. Nandi believes in patient-focused care in which time with patients and bedside manner is as important as exceptional surgical results. He has a special interest in complex hip and knee replacement, revision hip and knee replacement, and knee arthroscopy. He completed his medical training at institutions nationally recognized for excellence in orthopaedic surgery.
In 2013, Dr. Nandi was recognized as a Rothman-Ranawat Traveling Fellow by The Hip Society, becoming one of four outstanding joint replacement surgeons from around the world.
Dr. Nandi was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. After completing his education and training in New York City, Cleveland and Boston, he returned to Maryland with his wife Tina and their two children.
Dr. Nandi is a member of the University of Maryland Joint Network, a group of surgeons known for their advanced expertise and outcomes in total hip and knee replacement.

Dr. Nandi is an active clinician-educator and researcher with more than 170 publications and presentations at regional, national and international conferences.
In 2016, Dr. Nandi was selected by the American Orthopaedic Association (AOA) as one of four orthopaedic surgeons across all subspecialties to participate in the Japanese Orthopaedic Association (AOA-JOA) Traveling Fellowship, presenting his research at major orthopaedic academic centers in Japan.

For faculty who earn royalties on the sale of medical devices, no royalties are earned on any devices sold to patients or to hospitals that are part of the University of Maryland Medical System or in any other facilities where those faculty members treat patients.
All external professional relationships maintained by members of the University of Maryland Department of Orthopaedics are reviewed and approved in advance by the Dean of the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UM SOM) for conformance with UM SOM policies in regarding conflicts of interest, conflicts of commitment, and professionalism.
