A primary care provider can be a physician who specializes in family or internal medicine, a physician assistant or a nurse practitioner. Our primary care providers are often your point of entry into our health system. Primary care practices provide a range of services, including:
- Disease prevention
- Health maintenance
- Health counseling
- Patient education
- Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses
- Sports physicals
We can also provide referrals to specialists when needed.
At the University of Maryland Community Medical Group, we deliver continuing and comprehensive health care for you and your family. We take pride in developing a strong relationship with you, and focusing on prevention-based health care.
