The challenges of coping with the medical treatment of children and adolescents have a ripple effect. Patients, parents, siblings, extended family and friends all feel the anxiety. However, it is often the parents who care for the day-to-day emotional and social needs of those affected by a child’s illness or injury.
The Child Life Specialists at the University of Maryland prepared these resources to help parents understand and respond to the needs of their children.
