During home infusion therapy, you receive your medication via a needle or thin, flexible tube called a catheter. How your medication is given will depend on your treatment type (e.g., injection of medication directly into your vein by a nurse or self-injection just beneath the skin).

Depending on your treatment and whether it is the first visit, our once-weekly nurse visits can be:
  • A roughly 20-minute visit, during which the nurse replaces the infusion line and lets you handle the rest (patients can do self-infusions with their doctor’s approval)
  • A two- to four-hour visit, particularly if your treatment requires observation (these visits are great for relationship-building between nurses and patients, which is why we try to pair patients with the same nurse each visit)

Home Infusion Cost and Insurance Coverage

We are considered an in-network provider by all major national, and most regional, health insurance plans. In addition to handling billing processes, we verify and explain the scope of your insurance coverage and provide estimates for any out-of-pocket costs.

We are experienced in obtaining coverage, offering financial help and assisting with payment processes. If your insurance requires that you receive care at an outpatient center or via a specific home infusion provider other than ours, we will help you find the appropriate treatment option.
