About Me

Kate Knott has special interest in cardiothoracic surgery. She is passionate about patient education and research related to enhanced recovery after surgery protocols.

Since joining the care team at University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center in 2016, Knot has been active in the evolution of the hospital's cardiac surgery program.

"The best part about working in the cardiac surgery program is that we have a dedicated multidisciplinary team that is always looking to make things better for the patients. We embody the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center motto of “Loving service and compassionate care,” Knott says.

Knott graduated with honors from The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, receiving both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from the institution.
