About Me

Dr. Wright is an anesthesiologist and pain medicine specialist. She has special interests in diabetic neuropathy and spinal cord stimulation.

Often, she sees patients dealing with chronic pain, prescribing medication, interventional therapies (such as injections and nerve blocks) and physical therapy and referring them to a pain psychiatrist as needed. She gears all individual care plans toward reducing pain and improving quality of life.

"The best part of my job is seeing patients going back to work, being able to function, being able to have a relationship with their families and loved ones," she says.

Dr. Wright is an assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM). She is also program director of UMSOM's Pain Medicine Fellowship program. Currently, she is a member of the advisory board of the recently-launched Maryland Prescription Drug Monitoring Program.

Dr. Wright was named a Rising Star in the "Super Doctors" edition of Baltimore magazine. She has also been recognized as a U.S. News & World Report "Top Doctor" on multiple occasions.
