Dr. Kahntroff is a pediatric anesthesiologist. She has special interests in congenital heart disease and patient safety. In her role, she provides anesthesia for children with and without congenital heart disease for a wide variety of procedures, including open heart surgery. She is passionate about fostering a safe and comfortable care environment for her patients and is uniquely prepared to meet their physical, psychological and emotional needs before, during and after their procedure.
A University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) graduate, Dr. Kahntroff is an assistant professor in UMSOM's Department of Anesthesiology. Also at UMSOM, she is division chief for Pediatric Anesthesiology and associate residency program director for the Anesthesiology Residency Program. She has been recognized on multiple occasions as a "Top Doctor" by Baltimore magazine.
Dr. Kahntroff completed her residency in anesthesiology at University of Maryland Medical Center. She completed her fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Johns Hopkins University.
