About Me
Dr. Thomas is a Harvard-trained plastic, reconstructive and hand surgeon. As part of Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, he specializes in both plastic and hand surgery. He is experienced in skin cancer removal, aesthetic surgery, breast reconstruction after cancer, hand and wrist injuries, fracture repair, endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery and more.
Dr. Thomas completed his undergraduate degree in molecular biology from Princeton University, graduating with honors. He first moved to Maryland to attend the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. After graduation, he was accepted into the selective Harvard Plastic Surgery training program.
Dr. Thomas spent the next seven years training in Boston with leaders in both plastic and orthopedic surgery. His surgical internship and general surgery training were at Massachusetts General Hospital. His plastic surgery training was performed at multiple prestigious medical institutions of Harvard Medical School (Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconness, Boston Children's Hospital, Shriner's Hospital Boston).
Following residency, Dr. Thomas completed a fellowship in orthopedic hand and microvascular surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, serving as Instructor of Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Thomas has been a recipient of a number of awards and honors, including the Regan Fellowship, which afforded him the opportunity to join the life-changing work of Operation Smile. He also has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals.
Dr. Thomas and his wife reside in Harford County, Maryland, with their three children.
