About Me
As a primary care physician, Dr. Carey provides care for preventing, treating and managing many common conditions, including mental health issues and chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and obesity. She sees patients of all ages. She treats the whole patient, focusing on their overall (physical, mental and emotional) well-being, not just their illness.
Dr. Carey takes the time to get to know patients and their families. She also engages patients in shared decision-making. "I want every patient to feel like they are participating in their care and making decisions with me, not under me," she says. She adds: "I support and follow CDC recommendations for the routine childhood vaccination schedule."
In her free time away from patient care, Dr. Carey enjoys traveling and attending concerts. She is a fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens.
