Daniel Lawrence Shinners, MD

Dr. Shinners is a member of the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH) Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine practice. He works primarily in the outpatient office in Bel Air, Maryland, where he treats patients for various pulmonary conditions. Though known for his quiet demeanor, he is passionate about facilitating timely intervention for patients with recently diagnosed lung cancer.

Prior to his current practice, Dr. Shinners worked in New York for several years and thereafter with a telemedicine practice serving several hospitals in Maryland.

Dr. Shinners attended Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his internal medicine residency in 1995 at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. He completed his pulmonary and critical care fellowship in 1998 at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
