Dr. Riggin grew up in Annapolis and attended University of Maryland College Park for his undergraduate degree. He received his medical degree from University of Maryland Medical School in Baltimore where he graduated with honors and as an AOA scholar. Following that, he completed his internship in general surgery and his urology residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.
Dr. Riggin treats all urological disorders with a special interest in treating erectile dysfunction, male stress incontinence, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), complex kidney stones, urological cancers and robotic surgery. While at Maryland, he trained under one of the highest volume penile prosthesis surgeons in the US, providing Dr. Riggin with a diverse and unique experience with regards to treating erectile dysfunction. In addition, he has extensive experience performing “tubeless” percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) for the management of large and complex kidney stones. During his training he also acquired experience using the latest minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and robotic assisted techniques for the management of kidney, bladder and prostate cancer as well as BPH.
During his free time, Dr. Riggin enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and their two dogs. He is also an avid waterfowl hunter, fly fisherman and hiker.
