Ania Gosek Castillo, PA-C

A surgical physician assistant, Ania Castillo has been a part of the Upper Chesapeake Surgical Associates care team since 2022. She is dedicated to:

• Assisting with surgical procedures
• Conducting hospital and emergency room consults in a timely manner
• Rounding on hospital patients (a proactive approach to anticipating and addressing patient needs that involves periodically checking in on patients to ensure comfort and safety during their hospital stays)
• Seeing postoperative (after surgery) patients in an office-based care setting as part of their recovery and follow-up processes

Prior to her career as a physician assistant, Castillo worked in clinical research for many years at various private and United States Department of Defense institutions. During her time with the Department of Defense, she received a Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award (2020).

Castillo's hobbies include a healthy lifestyle, photography, cooking and baking.
