Amy Holstege, CRNP

Amy Holstege is an acute care nurse practitioner. She works primarily in inpatient endocrinology and limited outpatient appointments for recently hospitalized patients at the UM Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology at University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center (UM BWMC).

Holstege believes health care should be a team effort, with providers and patients working together to achieve the best possible outcomes. She started out as a nurse in the cardiac telemetry unit at North Arundel Hospital (now UM BWMC) in 2003.She joined the hospitalist service at UM BWMC in 2008 and later the University of Maryland Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology in 2021. She earned her Master of Science degree in the acute care nurse practitioner specialty from University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Nursing in 2007.

When she is not helping patients, Holstege enjoys traveling with her family and finding new healthy recipes.
