Preparations: Birth Plans and Childbirth Classes
During the course of your pregnancy, you'll visit your OB-GYN for regular checkups at their offices in La Plata or White Plains.
Together, you'll develop a birthing plan to formally communicate your wishes and goals for your ideal childbirth experience.
Along the way, UM Charles Regional also offers childbirth classes to help you prepare. And you can see the amenities of our Birthing Center, which include private birthing suites and a fully equipped operating room, in a virtual tour.
Once you go into labor, you'll arrive at the hospital, where our experienced, on-staff obstetrics doctors will know your birthing preferences and be with you through the delivery of your new baby.
High-Risk Pregnancy
Our staff is experienced in high-risk pregnancies and deliveries, rising from factors like development issues, high blood pressure, diabetes or multiple babies. Throughout your pregnancy, our OBGYN specialist will monitor your condition carefully.
