Tyler Andrew Coakley, CRNP

Tyler Coakley is a family nurse practitioner. In providing primary care to patients, he specializes in diagnosing, managing and treating many chronic conditions, including anxiety, asthma, depression, diabetes, high blood pressure (hypertension) and high cholesterol.
 
Coakley's approach to patient care involves joint decision-making, active listening and providing clear explanations.
 
"I believe in team dynamics and involve patients in their care. Using effective communication is paramount in caring for patients," he says. "I believe partnership between the patient and the provider is crucial."
 
Coakley is a past recipient of the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health "Nurse of the Year" award. In his spare time, he takes up beekeeping as a hobby.
