Melissa Danielle Wood, CRNP

Melissa Wood is a family nurse practitioner. She specializes in health promotion and disease prevention, management of chronic diseases, and diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses.

Wood joined the team at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health in 2019. She enjoys educating patients and likes to take a holistic approach to patient care that focuses on making lifestyle changes before the prescribing of medication or other treatments. She was born and raised on Maryland's Eastern Shore and has lived there her entire life, which has helped her establish a great rapport with patients in the local community.

Wood has been recognized by What’s Up? magazine as an "Excellence in Nursing: Eastern Shore" honoree. She is very family oriented. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children and animals. She also enjoys watching professional sports. She is a devoted fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens.
