About Me

A nurse practitioner, Emily Sapp treats spine conditions including neck and back pain.

"I have always enjoyed working with people and building relationships with them. I also enjoy science and staying up to date on evidence-based practices. I feel these are key aspects of providing great health care," Sapp says. "My goal for patients is for them to have an understanding of their diagnosis so they can make the best decisions for themselves regarding their care."

Sapp worked as a registered nurse in orthopedics and perioperative care for several years before becoming a nurse practitioner. Prior to joining the team at the Spine Institute at University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center, she worked as a pain management nurse practitioner. She has experience treating orthopedic conditions with surgical and non-surgical methods.

Sapp is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and North American Spine Society.
