Vijay Sharma, MD, FAPWCA

Dr. Sharma's clinical interests are in the treatment of diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), heart disease and other complex medical conditions. He treats diabetic foot and venous leg ulcers, pressure injuries, and all non-healing chronic and complex wounds. In addition, he performs surgical debridement of wounds as needed, skin substitute/cellular tissue product application, and abscess incision and drainage.

Dr. Sharma believes in treating the whole patient—not just the wound—and helping to correct underlying health conditions and promote healthy lifestyles for successful wound healing. He and his team pride themselves on their ability to help patients manage their wounds until they are healed. To reach their goals, they incorporate all treatment modalities, including surgical debridement, application of skin substitute/cellular tissue products and hyperbaric oxygen treatment.

Dr. Sharma is an avid soccer fan and plays the sport regularly. He is also into health and fitness, specifically high-intensity interval training (HIIT) regimes.
