About Sarah D. Crimmins, DOToggle accordion item
Sarah Crimmins, D.O., focuses her clinical practice on medical complications of pregnancy. Dr. Crimmins is involved in clinical research on diabetes and obesity in pregnancy.
Pregnancy, for some, is a window that many individuals present for care for the first time in many years. The decisions made during this time can affect maternal and fetal health for years to come.
With this in mind, Dr. Cummins is currently recruiting for a randomized control trial to look at the delivery of care in individuals with gestational diabetes. The study will use mobile technology to give social support as well as group prenatal care to enhance health literacy about both gestational diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes.
It is hoped that this research will be a starting point for multiple studies about improving the care of pregnant women.
