Dr. Khianey is a rheumatologist. Her clinical practice focuses on comprehensive care for patients with complex rheumatic and allergic disorders.

In addition to being a rheumatologist, Dr. Khianey is an associate professor of medicine at University of Maryland School of Medicine. Her contributions to medicine have been recognized with numerous awards, including a Golden Apple Faculty nomination at Rutgers and the Dr. Mark Pecker House Staff Award from Weill Cornell.

Dr. Khianey holds fellowships and memberships in prominent societies such as the American College of Rheumatology; the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; and the New Jersey Rheumatology Association, for which she currently serves as second vice president.

Dr. Khianey's research interests include hypersensitivity in rheumatic diseases, nutritional impacts on lupus, and advanced treatments for conditions like gout and systemic lupus erythematosus. She is a principal investigator on several studies and collaborates on multicenter trials.
