About Me

Dr. Ziesat is an advanced general and laparoscopic surgeon. Her areas of interest include gallbladder disease, laparoscopic hernia repair, minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery, and surgical treatment of GERD and hiatal hernia repair.

A Maryland native, Dr. Ziesat is a graduate of University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery, receiving specialized training in laparoscopic treatment of hernias and diseases of the stomach, esophagus, small and large bowels, and gallbladder. She completed her general surgical training at the University of Chicago, where she was administrative chief resident.
