About Baltimore Convention Center Field Hospital

The Baltimore Convention Center Field Hospital (BCCFH) began in March 2020 as a 250-bed field hospital at the Baltimore Convention Center, operated jointly by Maryland Department of Health, Johns Hopkins Medicine, and the University of Maryland Medical System.

During its nearly 18 months of operations as an inpatient facility, the BCCFH celebrated 1,495 patient discharges.

Once the hospital closed on June 10, 2021, the leadership formed the BCCFH COVID Task Force, continuing the ambulatory missions of vaccinating, testing and providing outpatient treatment of COVID-19 infections.

In November 2021, the vaccination and COVID testing operations moved to State Center. The BCCFH Infusion Center is located at the University of Maryland Medical Center's Downtown Campus.
